Chris has been recognized by the Tampa Bay Technology Forum, the Tampa Bay Innovation Center (TEC Garage), the Florida Economic Development Council and Heroes at Work for his passion in helping technology entrepreneurs and the economy of the Tampa Bay region to thrive.

He is an international speaker, author, Florida Bar certified intellectual property attorney and USPTO registered patent attorney. Chris enjoys working with entrepreneurs to grow their companies. He has a wife and two sons and has given his life to God. See his publications

Chris Paradies is president of Paradies┬« law, a boutique law firm focusing on intellectual property and entrepreneurship. Intellectual property (IP) is a type of property right incorporating patents, know-how, copyrights, trademarks and trade dress as intangibles that add value to a business. Chris graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor of science, concentrating in physics. After serving his country, he obtained a Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Later he completed his juris doctorate, summa cum laude, from Jacob D. Fuchsberg Touro Law Center. Chris is a registered patent attorney and a Florida Bar certified intellectual property attorney.

Chris enjoys working with scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs. Whether preparing for litigation or growing the value of your business, his education and experience enable him to understand your technology and to explain the law. Proper management of your intellectual property assets requires both an understanding of your technology and the law. Chris helps you to avoid litigation, when possible, and when not possible, he helps to guide you through the difficult decisions that have to be made before and during litigation.

Chris has helped clients with litigation relating to patent infringement and false advertising & unfair trade practices litigation and in industries as diverse as hygiene products, construction, transportation and dietary supplements.  He has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications, working with clients to determine what inventions are patentable and have commercial value. He has assisted clients through licensing, acquisition and settlement negotiations and has helped clients reach mutually beneficial agreements.
